Exploring Mandalay

We spent out first full day and night exploring the sights, sounds and smells of Mandalay. Mandalay has quite a different feel than Yangon; it is full of scooters (banned in Yangon). People are everywhere selling and cooking food, moving all about on bikes, tri-shaws, trucks and carts loaded with all sorts of crazy stuff. It feels like a bustling, dusty frontier town.

We were the only non-locals eating here.
